• Howdy,
• Thanks for  checking in   , I  always  appreciate  you guys and your  sometimes  very  timely  comments. If you remember this as a John Mellencamp  song and think that I’m going  in that direction, not so much! , but if you do remember  than it dates us both☺️☺️..This one today  popped in  while I was having  a  conversation with a friend, which  is nothing like  the  conversation that we were having, so just  chalk another  one  up to me once more  coloring  outside  the  lines☺️☺️. I’m going to  post the PG placard today  , because  I’m not exactly  sure where this one may be going ☺️. If you  have  been  around  for  a  while, you may get  the impression that I was not always  known  for  being  a compliant  child  when I  was a  young  lad ☺️. If you  get  that impression from  some of the  things that I share from  time to time, then  you would  be  spot on! ☺️☺️.
• If I’m being  legit here, my earliest encounter  with  ”  hurts so good” would  take  me back to my  high school  days. If your  imagination had you thinking about  something along the  lines  of  cherry  popping, then  you would  be spot on once more.  ☺️☺️. Maybe I should have  started off with the  fact  that I  can  be a little  dark and twisted at times.  Maybe  dark  is a  little to strong and I  should  dial it back to cynical or border line  , slightly  perverted, but not always  in mixed company and  I  try to keep  it  tasteful, if there is such a thing☺️.  Anyways, back to high  school, as a teenager, I  knew  every damn thing,  just  like the kids of today ☺️☺️. Oddly enough the older I get now the less I  know, I  was pretty  sure that there were only  two  genders ☺️☺️, but I  digress.  Well  as a know it all  teenager, I  was a little  perplexed by  something  hurting and  feeling  good at the same time.  Now days, decades on the other side of that, I have  had other  such encounters  that  didn’t  revolve around  sex. One of  many for example was after I had rotator cuff surgery.  The PT could  be  grueling on certain  days, but  as they  stretched  out that joint  to try and ensure that I  would  get  back  as much as  I  could  of a full  range of motion, it would  be  painful, but simultaneously bringing  a  joyous  relief.  The whole point about  something  hurting  so good, pushed  me in the direction of  things that you wouldn’t  normally think that they  would  go together.  Maybe  your thought  process of  things  not going  together, might  possibly  be some weird  food combination that grosses you  out when  you say  it out loud or think about  it  in  your head, but once on your taste buds , it could  be  something magically  delicious, but not  like Lucky Charms ☺️☺️. This blog  began  with  a  dating  relationship and the lady that I was seeing at the time  was some what disturbed as how I  could go from  talking about  something  very  spiritual to something  very  sexual almost  in the same  breath ☺️☺️. While  she wasn’t a  fan, it somehow made perfect  sense  to  me. I  mean  after  all  sex was and is God’s  idea and a fabulous  gift to mankind.  I’m  just  one of those  people  who has to the ability to  drill down  on things that  I’m passionate  about and  both  of  those  things  check the box for me☺️☺️. I don’t  know  maybe  it’s just  some of that good old fashion  Catholic guilt ☺️. I  think  that  some of us have  trouble  thinking about  God in all areas of our  lives….but spoiler alert, He sees all of it, the good, the bad , and the sexual, which  hopefully for most doesn’t  fall  in  the  category of the  ugly ☺️☺️. Perhaps  it’s just  one of those compartmentalization things  where  we  only  meet  with  God  at church, in a prayer  closet, or briefly  before  a meal and all other times of our  lives  look  like  the wild wild west.  ☺️☺️Of course  there are those  emergency  meetings  with  God when  something  is  a little  haywire and  out of our control .  I  think  that for some  it just  comes  across  as  sacrilegious.  It may be the equivalent  for  some as reading  your Holy text while  sitting on the  toilet☺️, it’s just  one of those gray areas, where maybe  the majority of  people may just think…surely  not!! God is Holy and we are not for the most  part, but my   understanding of it is,  anytime  and anywhere , He is  willing to  meet with  us.  I don’t  know  about  You, but I  take Him at His word that He never  sleeps or slumbers and  that  I don’t have  to  make  an appointment to meet  with  Him.
• Hurt  so good  may not ever be more clear than  when  it  comes  to  child  birth.  This is a  place where joy and  pain  connects on a daily  bases all across  the  globe.  I’m a person  who  firmly  believes in the  old school  approach of the waiting room and  passing  out cigars, and while I firmly  believe in  that, it wasn’t  an option for  me  because  she thought that  I  should  be  as close as  possible  to  join in the pain, that’s right!, It’s the beautiful  place  where hand holding  turns into  a   death  grip☺️☺️.  We don’t  often  like to  think  about  joy and pain  connecting together, but they  often  are travel  buddies and  carpool together☺️.  There can  be  so much pain  connected with  child  birth, but then met with  the  most overwhelming  joy unimaginable.
• I  could  come up with a  major  list of things that you wouldn’t  think go together, but since we  are  here let’s talk about  another  kind  of  birth pains. This is  what  my friend  and I  were discussing.  There is  so much  madness in the  world, it’s hard to  deny that  we are living  in  the  last days. Now!, before  you get  super  cooky and bent out of shape, I’m not predicting the second  coming of Christ.  In fact, if you find  anyone  who tells  you  that  they  know  that or has some how mysteriously  figured  it  out, you should  sharply  run in the opposite direction ☺️☺️. We were talking  end time prophecy, and there is no denying  that  many  of the things  that  the Bible  speaks  of, are actually  unfolding  before our very eyes. Jesus  spoke of these signs of the times as birth pains, and said that they  must take  place, but that they  would  be signals that the beginning of  the  end was at hand.  My friend  made the reference of  it being  exciting and  exhilarating, but  at the same  time  quite scary and a little  horrific.  I  mean  once you take  roller-coasters out of the equation or going  on an op with  a  seal team, there are not a lot of things  that  will  invoke such a  strong  response  from  to  polar emotions. ☺️
• In the West and particularly  in the United  States, we have just  become  unhinged.  If I  didn’t  know  any better  I would  believe that my eyeballs was  watching  an episode of  Star Trek and I would   be watching  mankind  going places that it has never gone before ☺️☺️. This  is  so very  far past the  wild blue yonder.☺️.  I  was wondering  if there was some kind  of  contest going on  to see just  how  ridiculous we could be ☺️. I  have talked  numerous  times about  common  sense being  in  short supply, but I’m beginning to  look at it  from another angel and  just  think that we have  become a nation without  courage.  What else can  you  call it when  you  see people  doing  absurd things and we sit silently  by,  with a  no comment  response , as if we are pleading the 5th to protect  ourselves from  self incriminating fact  that we have some  semblance of a moral  code. It’s not political, it’s not hate speech and it’s definitely  not from  a  self-righteousness of being  better  than  anyone else,  because  on most days a lot of us are just a few fries short  of  a  happy  meal, and yes I’m included in that. ☺️☺️ It  truly is  about  common sense.  Personally I  take  issue with  the fact that You can  join  the U.S. military  at seventeen or eighteen  years old, in which  you  could  possibly  be ask to give  your life in service to your country, but these very  same  individuals can’t  buy a pack of cigarettes, or buy alcohol, or even  purchase a  firearm, which  they  have  access  to  on a military installations.  I  think the caution  here  evolves  mostly  around  maturity, but somehow  at fourteen  or fifteen they are mature enough  to  elect to  have  gender reassignment surgery….really?? If a person  wants to  identify as  some animal  and eat cat food and use a litter box, we sit silently on the sidelines,  shrug our shoulders and  think to ourselves,   not my monkey.  ☺️☺️Has there ever been  more of a cry for  help?  and I’m talking of the psychological kind, don’t  just  pet them and say nice kitty ☺️☺️. I know  it sounds  like  a laughing  matter, but it’s not!!
• Well how about  a little  good news? The good  news is when  you  look at and study  end time prophecy, there is absolutely  zero  reference to  the  United  States.  This  means  that  we won’t be around.  Any number  of  a possible  things could  account  for  this, all would  be  speculation, but my money  is  on imploding  from  the  inside ☺️☺️. Yes, I’m fully  aware that  I’m going to  get  hate mail over this, but let’s just  face the  facts, some people  don’t  like  truth  or hard facts, but it doesn’t  change the  reality of the  situation, and you can  tuck that away  with  your favorite  pronoun☺️☺️. Perhaps there is a segment out there that  is unfamiliar with some of the  things that the Bible  says  about the  end times, so how about we look at  a few and see if the bread crumbs  make sense to you.
• Here is another one of my amazing disclaimers, I am not a Bible  scholar, nor am I  a conspiracy nut guy, yes nutty but not conspiracy wise ☺️☺️☺️. One of the things that  has always  blown  me away  in scripture was that  Jesus  would  tell  people what they were thinking  and  they  continued  on with the  conversation , just  like  it was an every day common occurrence, not once  did they   stop and pause! ☺️☺️. Scripture  actually has a lot to say about the  days that we currently find ourselves living in if we will listen and  pay attention.  Jesus  made a reference to  the  days of Noah.  He said in those  days that  people  were partying, feasting, having  weddings and  just  carrying on as usual right  up until Noah and his family  entered the  Arch. Everyone was  just  oblivious to  the  current  climate, much like  now. Jesus  also  spoke of wars and rumors of wars, where have I seen  that at lately?☺️☺️. There was a statement  made  that WW ll was the war to end all wars and we know  that  was  not true, but not only that, but scripture calls for a huge world  war that will  surround  Israel and  be the lead in for  what is known as  the  great tribulation period that is suppose to take  place over a seven year  period.  The  Bible  speaks  of  an unholy  alliance that will  attack  Israel from  its northern  border and currently all of those nations  have  a  military presence in  Syria, which  is  directly to  Israel’s north.  There is a lot here, so I’m just  going to  list it  and give references  so that you can  check  it  out  for yourselves.  Two  big pieces of  the  puzzle  are  inflation and  famine.  If covid is over, then  why are prices continuing to  rise,? especially in the things  needed to  maintain  life . We have  countries  killing   cows in the name of climate  change and  reducing  carbon  emissions and on the other  hand  we have  people  like  Bill Gates pushing  plant based foods that they  can  control.  It’s factual, look it up for yourselves and  hold onto  your wallet, if you  can!☺️☺️ . We are still  experiencing food shortages.  The Bible  also  speaks of natural disasters  such as earthquakes. I think  that  what is going  on  in Iceland and other  places like Italy, when  we hear about  them, we are mostly  desensitized to  it like the gun violence.  Awe.. it’s another  one! , we pause , take it in , and think  those poor families, and then  just  get  on with  our day. . There is also  predictions about  ruining the environment and also about  crime, which the Bible  calls increased  lawlessness . Government  corruption and corporate  greed at an all time  high with  all sorts of people  having  their  ” Karen”  moments ☺️☺️. It use to be far and in between that just  a common  traffic stop  would  turn  into an altercation, but now it’s the norm.  Every one feels as it’s an imposition for a cop to do their  job and  demands a badge number and to speak  to  a supervisor, what in the world  is going  on.?  Dr. Phil  has  a  new book out called ” We have issues “, boy is that an understatement ☺️☺️.
• Much of what I  just  mentioned may falls  on an external perspective, but scripture  has  much  to  say about  the  inward or the things  that  are more  directly personal  perspective. It speaks  of deteriorating  attitudes , where people will  be  disloyal, unfaithful, slanderous, unwilling to  work  towards  agreements and  puffed up with  pride. It also  talks  about the  break down  of  the  family.  It talks about  diminished love for God, as in unappreciative and  growing  cold towards  God.  People  being  lovers of pleasure, money and  a general  lack of self control.  It speaks  of religious  hypocrisy and  false  worship of God. There will also  be global preaching of God’s Word and  it being  met with  wide spread  apathy and ridicule, ignoring  the overwhelming  evidence that the end is near. If you doubt that  last one, just  look around and  see how there is an open  season  on Christianity.  It’s the butt of almost  every  joke in the media and  Christians are portrayed as slow, dumb or backwards somehow. The  only  other  thing  that even comes  close in a distant  second  is  masculinity.  Masculinity  is  just  being  crushed  everywhere and  it  really  sucks if you are a heterosexual white male.☺️☺️. If you fall  in  that category, then  you  are totally  disrespected and  don’t  even  think  about  speaking  up, because  you  have  been  deemed as what  is  wrong with the  world  somehow, you and those  dumb Christians ☺️☺️. I  know  that  all I have  mentioned  here is not  new, but consider the intensity of  it and how it is increasing, much like a woman’s  labor pains. The only  question  left to answer  here is , what are we as a people   about to give birth  to? Ok, as I promised, a few quick  references so that you  can  check  this  out for  yourselves.  Mathew 24:7, Luke 21:11, Revelations 11:18, 2nd Tim 3:1-4, 2nd Peter 3:3-4. I  don’t  usually  do this, give scripture  reference, I know it  comes across  as  preachy, or people  see it as some how trying to sign up new recruits some how, but it’s important.  I  see it as me throwing a life  preserver to someone  who just  fell off of a cruise ship☺️☺️.
• Let’s get  back  to  my friend who opened  up this whole  can of worms  in the first place.  Their  response was that the world and their  surroundings, be it work, school  or  whatever, was the equivalent of  , let’s just  climb out of the pot , and just  retire.  I  have  nothing  against  retirement, I don’t  see it represented in scripture, but it’s the whole  thing  about  wanting  to  withdraw  and  to isolate ourselves from  a battle that God has clearly  called us  to, and not just that, He has ensured  us of the victory.  If , He calls us salt and light, then  that is what we should  and must  be. He says that we are a city on A hill, and that we are to project light.  If we withdraw, pull back or surrender, than we are taking  some of God’s  light  out of a very  dark world that  gets  just  a  little  darker each passing  day.  The second  coming  is a “Thing” and  each  day it gets  a  little bit  closer and  when it happens, the Bible  says that it’s going to be a “Glorious Day”!!
