" Inside Edition"
Howdy!,
Welcome again!, and let's jump right in. Wasn't there at one time or another some news segment called inside edition? Sometimes the things that jump around in my mind , should absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt make me certifiable. I get that we now live in an era where crazy is in , and calm rational sense has no home. It completely wrecks my brain , when I see two completely different things existing in the same space. Think back to the original "Ghost Buster's" movie and Bill Murray exclaimed about dogs and cats living together as if it was mass hysteria ☺️☺️. Please don't hit me up on that one because, I know that they do, but it was the sheer thought of it , that made that line work so well. It's probably another one of those lines like from Bachman- Turner Overdrive, " where you haven't seen nothing yet". We as people just continue to push the envelope to the extremes. I don't often get my panties in a bunch, probably because I don't wear panties, and excuse me if that was TMI☺️☺️.
I was recently on the west coast, the pacific northwest is where the compass landed. I've done southern California before, but this was my first trip up top. I was just blown away by all of its beauty, and so much majesty. It was like God was teaching Norman Rockwell, what a real canvas of beauty looks like. So, plush and green. Timber in almost every direction that you looked. When I say majestic, that word doesn't even begin to describe the absolute gorgeous mountain ranges. Mt. Rainier just takes your breath away, snow capped and visible for miles in every direction. It may be one of the more prominent one's, but it has lots of company including the Cascades which reach up into Canada. I would just be a missed if I left out the Pacific Ocean and all of its power and might. We have beaches on the east coast and some pretty awesome in their own right, but somehow this was different. I have to tell you that the first thing that popped into my head when I walked up to the shore line, is where God says that our sins are as far as the east is from the west. I've always had a hard time with that concept, because I think that they would eventually meet up with one another ☺️☺️. It's just my crooked thinking of a globe opposed to something* linerar . Oh! Yeah, the beach is just another place where I struggle to find adjectives suited for something so incredible. I'm not really a beach guy, but if I was, this would be in high consideration ☺️☺️.
When I can be so enamored with something or a place, what is it that makes my head just want to explode? I don't know, maybe it's the altitude, no I don't think that's it, and while I'm at it, let me put a plug in for the "Space Needle ", a must do if you are in the area . If you aren't sure about your eternal destination, this may be the closest that some may ever get to heaven ☺️☺️. The most amazing panoramic views. Maybe it's the lack of quality professional sports in the area, nope wrong again. People up there will slap you around like you are in New York city if you say anything disparaging to say about their beloved Seahawks. I'm not going to say anything about them living in the glory days of Carroll and Wilson together ☺️☺️. There is always this thing about the gloomy weather, and yes that could be a draw back, but the weather was just gorgeous for me, and I guess if you live there, you just get use to it like earthquakes in southern California or hurricanes in Florida ☺️.
I can't even call it a pet peeve, because its just merely an observation from where I'm standing, but how do we take something so beautiful and pristine and turn it into something resembling a dumpster fire? I have to be careful here, or I will begin to sound like a tree hugger myself and rambling on about how there are to many people on the planet, and that's not my stance at all. I don't know if there is some kind of happy medium between human beings and nature, but I just know that we can do a better job than what we currently have going on. Speaking of wildlife, I've not experienced deer out all day just leisurely strolling through people's yards and bears raiding trash cans, but it's a thing in Ocean Shores☺️☺️. If I'm being completely honest, the thing that just burns up my Tookis , is how can the taxation be so high and so little bang for the buck in return ☺️. I believe that we fought a war over taxation without representation ☺️☺️. I got slapped in the face at the grocery store , having to pay for grocery bags. I get that this is not the only place in the country where this happens, but it just seemed out of sorts for me. It's like paying for a massage and them telling you that the massage oil is not included or it's an add on☺️☺️. I spoke to a very good friend of mine who use to live out there, and he said that it wasn't that bad when he lived out there nearly twenty years ago. He went on a rant about liberal politicians and how they have just destroyed the state and it's beauty. There is definitely some truth to that, but he now lives in Connecticut where they have to buy a specific trash bag from the county, or their trash is unacceptable ☺️☺️. There is that whole thing about not throwing stones when you live in a glass house yourself ☺️.
I'm not going to make jokes about them putting something in the water, because I spoke to several people who aren't to crazy about the direction the state is moving in, which points to a lack of accountability. Some of it comes across to me as pure lunacy. There are certain public sectors around town , where people will caution you about your speech, as it could not only be considered offensive, and interpreted as hate speech towards certain special groups of people with special status above just good old ordinary people.☺️ I think that its just hilarious that they can say and do anything, and if you offer another perspective that its considered hate speech. I guess that the first amendment only applies if you agree with their view points and ideology or otherwise, shut the hell up!☺️☺️. Not to get to political, but trying to wrap my mind around things that don't go together. I will see people stop their cars in traffic to allow geese cross the street in single file, like it's a fire drill in elementary school ☺️or when I was on the beach, I saw a dead seal that had been struck by a propeller, have so much compassion, but if it's a baby being suck down the drain, they have nothing but crickets. OK, enough of that, but I do want to bring up one more sensitive subject that just makes me scratch my head in disbelief.
Let's just for a quick second look at the correctional system for the State of Washington. Whenever there is a crime, especially one of a capital offense, where the death penalty has been imposed, you usually see some certain group of people pleading for clemency and going off about how barbaric or inhumane capital punishment is, and they completely disregard the victims and their families, who often endure an agonizing demise themselves, and excruciating pain and suffering over lives that were just snatched away without a moments notice. Well now, you just don't have to worry about that in Washington because there is a moratorium on the death penalty and all such sentences have been commuted to life in prison without parole. That's exactly where I want my tax dollars invested ☺️☺️. It only gets better from here and it brings up some serious questions about who's in charge , and who exactly is the inmate and who has the freedom? I think the obvious answer is that the tax payers are actually the ones imprisoned and on the hook. They may be confined inside of a facility, but that doesn't mean that we have to be deprived ☺️☺️. It looks to me , that prison has gotten rather comfy, if you can get past that whole sodomy thing ☺️☺️. I think that prison has been reformed and we still have pictures of Alcatraz in our heads, when nothing could be further from the truth. Do I even dare say that some prisons can be characterized as being country clubs?☺️
They call it a correctional facility as in attempting to rehabilitate. It's supposed to be a place that you wish to leave and never return to, but not so fast☺️☺️. Three square meals a day...OK that's fair, but we get tablets too? Not only do they get a shot at earning a high school diploma, but advanced degrees , such as in law, so that they can find more ways to sue the state and get more stuff, more rights and freedoms, which were the very things that were forfeited when they entered the system . I will hear or see some commercial or add about how hard it is for seniors to make it on a fixed income, but thank God , that the incarcerated don't have those kinds of problems☺️☺️. Great health care, as well as mental health, just incase I'm feeling a little down about missing my kids growing up. That's something that should have been thought about on the front end. Here's one for the books and you may want to sit down first , and do with it and think about it what you will. The state of Washington is spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on gender procedures. Hair removal, voice lesson on how to present themselves as something that God said that they weren't. Expensive hormone drugs to suppress their true nature and much of this done off sight which requires guards to transport them hundreds of miles. Here's the kicker, these are all high priority, while others with legitimate health concerns such as cancer, is a I'm sorry take a number at the back and bottom of the line , because of someone's else's high maintenance. How in the world is this taken place and in who's mind does this even make sense ?How did we get so sideways and it just seems to make sense to us? There is as Jesus said, always the poor, we will always have them with us, but not inside of the correctional facilities. The amount of time and money, man power and professional hours dedicated to this is a crime in itself. Beautiful state, whacky political system, how long can it be sustained.? When good people come to their senses, they usually opt out and move to another state. It's almost criminal being forced to move away from so much beauty because of lunacy.
The good news is we don't have to wait around to the end and read the credits like in a movie. We have seen this play out again and again, all over the country. Just look at the city of New York , San francisco , Detroit, and even D.C , as politicians have bankrupt the system by giving away the farm. It's the same cast of people, liberal mayors, governors, and council people who want to be seen as good people as they pander for re- election votes . Let's not forget our part as the supporting cast, as we play our role as the uninvolved constituency, that falls for the same old, same old, promises that never materialize. I'm going to tip my hat, I wish that I had thought up a job , where I could give myself a raise regardless of how crummy I am at my job or how bad the economy may be doing☺️ . If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, it's no way that I could ever believe that this is more than smoke and mirrors ☺️☺️
I truly and desperately want to turn the page. This isn't one of those....WWJD moments, we are so past the pail on that one , and still that's the only thing that can fix such mass dysfunction. Not some, but all of this is spiritual in nature. I'm not going to get into all of the psychology of someone wanting to change their sex or even about how we coodle and do over animals and can be so heartless about the unborn . Such beauty engulfed in such darkness. As I try to balance it all out in my head, I have to hold on to all that I know to be absolutely true. Sometimes it just comes down to the good, the bad , and the awful ugly. Yet the question remains, how does two great oppositions exist simultaneously. When I look up into the night sky and just see the beauty of a blanket of stars or even think back to Mt. Rainier, I'm just overcome by all of the splendor that God has placed here for us to discover and enjoy. God also created mankind and all of it is under His dominion and only exist because He chose to make it happen. He could have created and made us mindless robots that would have obeyed His every whim, but He didn't do that. Why, didn't He, when we have turned it into such a tangled obscenity? The answer to that question is the same reason that Jesus went to the cross on our behalf and the answer is love. Holding on to what I know to be true, I said that I know, not guess or hope to be true, but what I actually know from first hand experience is that God is in control of it all, no matter how it looks or what we choose to do with it. It doesn't matter who the Pope is or even who is sitting in the White House, God has got this!
Beauty and ugliness have existed since the garden of Eden. It was our first twisting act of perversion at something other than what God had in mind. God isn't absent, late , or uninvolved, He has just for a time chosen to let us do it our way to see if we can figure it all out, and from what we can see, that would be a hard NO! Things were designed to work a certain way, just like summer follows spring, and then fall and winter. There is a design and a way that things are supposed to work and we think that our intellectual paralysis is a match for God's. Laughable! ; we don't dare say it out loud, but the majority of our actions say just that. We know better than God. I know that you made me a boy; but I think I want to be a girl, just an offensive slap in the face to God. We behave as if God didn't place an eternal soul within our bodies, but one day , because God is in control, we will give an account. I sincerely hope that you have some other defense other than, that you wanted to be some weird science project ☺️☺️.
God has given us an incredible opportunity to partner with Himself in cultivating and caring for all of creation, but it's a task that only works with God and because of God, because it's His creation. We need to look to God and not to ourselves, as in the answer is buried somewhere deep inside of ourselves and we just need to dig or search it out. We can just look around in every direction and see the results of us doing it our way and what we think is best. Our best is corruption at almost every level, from government, schools, religious organizations and the family, which was God's basic building block for how we were supposed to move forward, and do life together. We are a long, long way from" Father knows best "or "Leave it to Beaver" . The inside edition isn't some new age way of raising kids, or getting rich or even how we can eat more while remaining thin☺️☺️. I believe it's something that's time tested and true and that's the word of God. It's great for something other than collecting dust on a coffee table or a door stop to the play room . Open it, read it , and have both your heart and mind stimulated at the same time.
Till Next Time ✌️ Peace!
